On behalf of one of our clients, we are looking for an Art Commerce & Online Auctions Manager to manage and develop an international art sales and auction business where physical artworks are sold and auctioned through online channels. This role is ideal for someone who combines solid art expertise with strong commercial understanding and experience in digital sales environments. You will be employed by us as a consultant and work on assignment at our customer, collaborating closely with the client’s organization while being part of our consulting setup.

In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial performance and day-to-day operations of online art sales and auction activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient operations, strong market positioning, and continued international growth, with a particular focus on Asian markets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing online art sales and auction operations with full commercial responsibility
• Planning and executing marketing and promotional activities for online auctions and sales
• Coordinating teams, workflows, and external partners involved in auctions and sales
• Developing and maintaining client relationships in Asia, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore
• Identifying and implementing improvements to processes, customer experience, and profitability

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Professional certification in art or antiques appraisal
• Relevant experience in a fast-paced, sales- or transaction-driven environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams and stakeholders
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (other Chinese languages are a plus)
